Alhaji Kamal is a retired Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Born in August 1962 in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria, he is a Bachelor of Science graduate in Accountancy from Bayero University Kano (BUK) and has more than three decades of cognate knowledge and experience in financial management/services, budget and strategic planning, project management, information communication technology (ICT) and audit, risk & compliance. He has attained a period of 35years of meritorious service to the Central Bank of Nigeria and the nation in various capacities, tasks, and responsibilities. During their service years, he was recognized as a mentor and role model among his peers.
He did his national service with the former Nigerian Agricultural & Cooperative Bank, Sokoto. Commenced his work experience with the Kano state Office of the Auditor General, where he was posted to Gwarzo Local Government Secretariat as Resident Auditor.
He attended many courses local and foreign in the fields of Auditing, Risk & Compliance, Budgeting, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology, Currency Management, and Corporate Strategy.
He is an alumnus of London Management Centre (LMC), Crown Agent UK.
He has acquired a number of Information Technology (IT) Skills such as the use of Computer Assisted Auditing Tools (CAATS), Audit Command Language (ACL), TeamMate, Productivity Tools/ Microsoft Office Suite (Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and Other Graphics). He is a member of various professional bodies which include the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Association of Costs & Management Accountants (ACMA) Nigeria, Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ITN), and Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) USA & Nigeria.
Alhaji Kamal is a seasoned administrator who promotes high-quality standards, performance improvement, and the usage or adoption of technology in the workplace and businesses. He has widely traveled to many countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, the USA, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, India, Malaysia, Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates(UAE), Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and Mauritius.
Currently, he is a farmer, Chairman/CEO of Fadlu Rabbi Business Concept Ltd, and a General Merchant in Oil & Gas, Cement, Electronics, and Solar Technology. He is also in pursuit of Islamic knowledge through studies in Mosques and other Majlis.
