Dr. Jamilu Mustapha Chedi

Jamilu Mustapha graduated from Sultan Idris Education University, Malaysia, and earned a Ph.D. in Technical and Vocational Education. He received an MSc in Design and Ergonomics from Coventry University, United Kingdom. Chedi holds a postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) from Bayero University, Kano, B. ED Tech (Drafting Technology) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and NCE (Tech) in electrical & electronics from Kaduna Polytechnic. Jamilu attended Kano Teachers College (KTC) and Jarkasa Primary School, Kano municipal.  

His professional career commenced as a freelance Technology education, Ergonomics, and General Education consultant. He has worked with the Kano State Ministry of Education as a teacher and administrator, Kano State Polytechnic as Head of Department of Technical Education, and currently with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, (ATBU) Bauchi. Chedi is a member of the Asia Academic Society of Vocational Education and Training (AASVET), a member of the National Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT), a member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), and the Nigerian Institute of Translators & Interpreters (NIIT). Chedi was the recipient of many Awards and Honors such as the Bitara Award UPSI, Malaysia, Training 2000 Skills for life – UK, Merit Award Mathematical Centre Abuja among others. He is an author of many books and research-based articles at national and international levels.  

Jamilu Mustapha Chedi is CEO/MD Active Wisdom Ltd., manages strategies and consultancy activities, is responsible for setting up a new school, developing technology education programs, exploring new ideas and Ergonomics programme and training; leveraging his experience from many countries he traveled to, such as Indonesia, UK, Niger, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, Turkey, Egypt and so forth. He also contributed to community services such as the Secretary-General of Chedi & Alkantara Development Association, and Kano as well as Educational radio program presentations.
