Maryam Abba Salihi: Maryam hails from Kiyawa, in Jigawa State, Nigeria. Born in Kano state, she started her education at Goldstar nursery and primary school, in Kano. She proceeded to Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo secondary school, Kano (2007 to 2013) and after graduation, she enrolled in a computer course with Aptech in Abuja (2014). She then secured an admission to read medicine (MD) at the Oman medical college. But due to Ebola disease outbreak in a few African countries, the admission was deferred by the medical college to the following year. Proactively, she enrolled in a foundation course with Galaxy (a Turkish learning center) in Abuja. She proceeded to Oman in 2015 to continue her medical studies. She is a 7th year medical student of National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Oman. In 2021, she came to Nigeria to do her elective programmes as approved by the medical college which she successfully did with the National Hospital and Garki Hospital, both in Abuja.
Maryam is very active in organizing and participating in the school’s extracurricular activities and other health awareness programs like the world health day, 3rd research day, and winter symposium, to mention but a few.
