Born in January 1967 in Kano State, Nigeria, Yusuf Umar is a Registered Nurse with the medical and dental council of Nigeria. He is presently the Nurse Manager, Operating Room Department of King Fahd General Hospital, Jeddah., Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He is an Instructor, in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with the Saudi Heart Association (SHA). He is the International Coordinator (Nigeria), of the Federation of Islamic Medical Association (FIMA) since 2008. Yusuf Umar is a member of the Board of Directors of Universal Medical Supplies Nigeria limited (UMESCO), a member of the Board of Trustees, Nigeria Community School, Jeddah, and the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Diaspora Organization Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (NIDO-KSA).
