We’re overjoyed to announce that one of the communities in which we are managing Waqf lands, finally has access to clean, running water – and it’s all thanks to the incredible generosity of two amazing donors!
One kind individual funded the construction of a brand new borehole, providing a sustainable source of fresh water for the residents of Shekar Mai’daki, Medile, Kano.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the foresight of our waqifa (Hajiya Safiya) who thoughtfully offered the land as an endowment (waqf).
Their combined efforts ensured that the community can enjoy the life-changing benefits of safe, readily available water for years to come.
This is a huge milestone for AWF, and we’re incredibly grateful to these generous individuals.
