Al-Mubarak Waqf Foundation has on Saturday distributed the sum of N2,900, 000 to eleven persons, Ubayy ibn Ka’ab Academy, and Gidauniyar Tallafawa marayu.

KANO FOCUS reports that the chairman of Freedom Radio Alhaji Ado Muhammad distributed the cheques to the beneficiaries at Islamic Forum headquarters, Farm Centre, Kano.

Alhaji Ado Muhammad said the foundation would not relent in providing similar gestures to the needy.

He advised the wealthy on the need to give out Zakkat sufficiently aimed at serving as capital to the beneficiaries.

In a paper presentation titled ‘Preamble Al-Mubarak Waqf Foundation’ a member of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Jamilu Chedi said the foundation attaches priority attention to education and human capital development.

According to him, the beneficiaries were selected by the sponsor of the zakat, expressing hope that the gesture would be expanded next year so that many people would benefit from it.

He said the foundation was established in 2019, with the sole aim of assisting Muslims.

He said supporting education, entrepreneurship, and technology in Muslim communities are among the cardinal objectives of the foundation.

Also speaking, the chairman of the foundation’s technical committee Malam Saleh Adamu Kwaru disclosed that the foundation is constructing a Jumu’ah mosque and Institute of Information Technology at Na’ibawa quarters.

He added that the Foundation is working assiduously in assisting the needy for a prosperous and peaceful society.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries,  Junaidu Ahmad thanked the philanthropic organization for the gesture and pledged to utilize the fund judiciously.
