Sadaqah is voluntary alms, given to the needy and the poor. Those who ask and those that don’t ask but are in need of it.
Ramadan is a blessed month during which your good acts or deeds are doubly or exponentially rewarded.
So seizing this blessed month to increase in doing good acts pleasing to Allah, as such you will earn immense rewards and besides your sins will be expiated.
Waqf is an Arabic term that generally means endowment. The plural of this term is Awqaf.
Therefore, Waqf is an Islamic endowment that involves the donating or bequeathing of valuable assets for Muslims to use for religious or charitable purposes.
In other words it involves donating assets that can produce a financial return or provide a continuous benefit for the Ummah.
Examples of assets that can be given as a Waqf are:
• Real estate
• Viable business ventures
• Cash
• Well/ Borehole
etc
Hence, Waqf is a form of Saqatul Jarriyah, a continuous charity that brings you never-ending rewards even after your death.
Amazingly, during this month of Ramadan, your rewards will be in multiple folds. Good deeds, (such as Sadaqah and Zakat) are multiplied by ten times or more, because Allaah says in Surah al-An’aam “Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged” [al-An’aam 6:160].
