Individual Zakatable assets are your assets that are eligible and considered when calculating and paying Zakat.

Such types of assets include (but are not limited to) :

  1. Cash and Savings

Money you put in the bank accounts, cash you save in other places other than the bank, and any other liquid assets.

The market value of gold and silver jewelry or coins you own.

If you own a business, Zakat is calculated on the business’s net assets after deducting liabilities.

This includes the current market value of stocks, bonds, and any other investment assets that you own.

Zakat is not generally applicable to the house you live in, but if you own additional properties or real estate for investment purposes, the net value is considered before paying Zakat.
